Warrant Officer Phakula believed that the references to 'they' wanting Colonel Sephungu related to members of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI) who were looking for a scapegoat and trying to get evidence against Phakula and others.

I think it was the DPCI ... I believe it was him and the DPCI ... they are looking for a scapegoat for what they did ... so they are trying to get evidence to place on us.

The size of the drug consignment justifies escalating the matter to the Provincial Investigation Unit and involving the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI).

If I see the size of the consignment after searching, I would definitely involve the DPCI ... at least to the Provincial Investigation Unit dealing with narcotics
