Soshanguve

Mandla Mgcina is someone known to Sergeant Nkosi from Soshanguve and is a nephew of Mr Sibanyoni.

“He is someone I know from Soshanguve.”

Sergeant Nkosi sent an internal SAPS communication about a double murder and attempted murder in Soshanguve on 23 December 2024 to Mr Mampane, circulating details like the injured victim location and vehicle information outside SAPS.

“By circulating what was an internal SAPS communication to someone outside SAPS, in the process you took outside SAPS details of where the injured victim was now to be found, who drove the injured victim to the place where the injured victim was now to be found, to the clinic, and what vehicle that person who drove the victim to the clinic uses, the registration number, so the vehicle could be identified as well.”

The police report about Mr Sithole, a known taxi boss shot and killed in Soshanguve, was already publicly available on Facebook by the time Sergeant Nkosi circulated it to Mr Mampane.

“And I still confirm that event though it looks like a , indeed it is a police report , but by the time I sent it , it was all over the news . ... And with the same format that it is like that , it was circulating on Facebook . ... That is correct .”

Sergeant Nkosi intervened in the conflict between Mr Mnisi and Mr Lekukela at Tshwane because he knew Mr Lekukela personally.

“I grew up with him in Soshanguve and I know Mr Gareth Mnisi, and I had to intervene in their conflict”
