And the items were then taken to the police station ... And that is how, about a cover-up, there is nothing in the docket about that.”

Drugs worth 300 million were stolen and lost, with a case involving a police officer withdrawn.

“If you know the person, you trust the person... So, you will say to them, listen, so and so told me that there is R1000 available for you if you just lose the docket. That is direct... You can have indirect, like, is that not covert? A covert operation where you endear yourself with the person, showing interest in their safety, showing interest in what is happening with them, and then at some points say there is an informer that told me that there is a bribe available.”

There was a threat against investigators investigating a murder case where a white person was killed, and one of three suspects arrested is a police officer.

“I have got information about a threat against your investigators investigating a case of murder whereby a white person was killed, I did not have the details and three suspects were arrested, one of the suspects is a police officer.”

The arrested suspects for the Maswanganyi murder included a police officer but no hit orderers were arrested; investigation ongoing.
