Mega Freight

Colonel Jacob stated that she was never asked about details of the Hawks people and Mega Freight regarding a specific visit on 1 July 2021, and cannot recall details despite a handwritten statement from 1 October 2025 requesting further clarity.

“Colonel Jacob was suggesting that she was never asked about the detail of the Hawks people and the Mega freight... I have a handwritten statement dated 1 October 2025, paragraph 2... Her response is, I cannot recall as it.”

On 1 July 2021, the container contents were verified at CHC Depot by Warrant Officer Mpangase and Tim Floweday of Mega Freight; the investigation confirmed the container was complete and could be released.

“On the bottom of the same page... To CHC Depot with Warrant Officer Mpangase and Sibiya, Tim Floweday of Megafreight present, unpack of container in order to verify the contents... that our investigation pertaining to the actual container is complete and the container could be released.”

An email was sent to Brigadier Devon Naicker regarding documentation furnished by Mega Freight; Naicker is head of SANEB Binhead office.

“I sent an email to Brigadier Devon Naicker with regards to documentation furnished by Megafreight. He is the head of SANEB Binhead office.”

Lt-Col Duma confirms that the container subject to inspection was from Mega Freight, the company responsible for that container.
