In 2016, the then Chief of Police Steve Ngobeni instructed Deputy Chief of Police Rex Mahlaulo to prepare tender TMPD2 2016-2017 for advertising.
“During 2016, the then Chief of Police, the late Mr Steve Ngobeni, in- instructed former Deputy Chief of Police Rex Mahlaulo to prepare tender TMPD2, 2016-2017 for advertising.”
Director Malatji assisted Deputy Chief Mahlaulo with tender specifications for TMPD 2 2016-2017 and submitted them for review and forwarding to Supply Chain Management Department.
“I assisted as requested and submitted the tender specification to him for reviewing, consideration, inputs and further handling...The tender specification documents were then forwarded to Supply Chain Management Department for further handling.”
Before reporting to Mr Nava Pillay, Director Malatji reported to Deputy Chief of Police Rex Mahlaulo, who retired recently at time of testimony.
