General Khan sought and obtained confidential information from Mr Sayed regarding a criminal case opened against him in Sandton relating to the VBS bank scandal involving bribes from the bank Chair.

“through Mr Sayed you sought and obtained confidential information from General Khan in relation to a criminal case that had been opened against you in Sandton. Specifically, you were provided with the name and physical address of the complainant in the matter, the case concerned the VBS bank scandal in which you are alleged to have received bribes from the Chair of the bank.”

Captain Zungu called Witness to say people want to consult Witness regarding a matter involving General Khan, but did not disclose who they were.

“Captain Zungu called me and said there are people who want to consult with you in respect of a matter. I am a witness to involving General Khan. I asked who the people are which he did not disclose and where can I find them? Captain Zungu said they are at Houghton Hotel in Sandton as we speak and I can find them there.”

General Mbotho inquired with Maj-Gen Flynn about any operations being conducted by his unit in the Sandton area on 6 December 2024 at Mr Katiso Molefe's residence.

“General Mbotho gave evidence before the Commission about a takedown operation that had been undertaken on 6 December 2024 at Mr Katiso Molefe's residence, and he said that you were one of the Component Heads that he had enquired from as to whether your unit was conducting any operations in the Sandton area”

Sergeant Nkosi confirms that initially Mr Khawula was arrested on charges related to contravening the Cybercrime Act and crimen injuria, but when transported from KZN to Sandton, all other charges including attempted murder and malicious damage to property were applied and warrants executed.

“Yes, at that time, this cell register, those people arrested him on these charges. But once he was transported from KZN to Sandton now, that is where by all the charges of attempted murder, malicious damage to property, their warrants were executed.”

Lieutenant-General Shibiri describes Zee Nxumalo as a tall Zulu guy staying in Sandton, and close to Julius Malema.

“Yes, there is this other guy. His name is Zee. He is also staying in Sandton. He is a Zulu guy, the tall one. ... And then he is close to Malema.”
