General Zikhali

Major General Senona was appointed as Provincial Head of the DPCI in KwaZulu-Natal around August 2020, succeeding Major General Zikhali who took early retirement; Brigadier Mbatha acted in the interim.

“Before Major General Senona joined as the Provincial Head, Major General Zikhali was the Provincial Head of the DPCI in KZN. The latter took early retirement. Brigadier Mbatha acted for a few months until Major General Senona was appointed around August 2020.”

Before 2017, exhibits were received with a SAP 13 register per instruction from General Zikhali. Later the security issue due to lack of facilities led to removal of SAP 13 register capability.

“We did that when we were still receiving exhibits before 2017, when that instruction came from General Zikhali... I think it was a security issue because of the lack of security at our facilities.”
