Mr Nangy

Following the kidnapping investigation, two Mozambican nationals and a policeman were arrested but the NPA withdrew the case and lodged a complaint about the investigation handling.

Sergeant Nkosi was told about Mr Nangy by people working in Brigadier Ramangwa's team during kidnapping investigations, but not about Mr Matlala in that context.

“I heard about Mr Nangy when I started to work closely with Brigadier Ramangwa. Mr Nangy's name was being discussed ... even not directly with me ... But when we spoke about Mr Nangy, Mr Matlala was not mentioned.”

Sergeant Nkosi denies knowing of any allegation that when Mr Matlala's house was searched for Jerry Boshoga, Jerry Boshoga had in fact been moved to Mr Nangy's house.

“No.”

Sergeant Nkosi confirms awareness of allegations that Mr Bosoga was moved to Mr Nangy's house by the time police arrived at Mr Matlala's house during the operation.

“I am aware of the allegation being made ... Yes.”

Sergeant Nkosi does not know whether Mr Nangy lives in the same complex or estate as Mr Matlala and does not know where Mr Nangy lives.

“I do not know ... No.”
