National Security & Fire

The contract for armed response security with National Security & Fire cost R593.56 monthly and expired in March 2020; the office was vulnerable to break ins and had been broken into at least six or eight times.

“The contracted armed response security company was National Security & Fire. The monthly cost for armed response was R593.56... The contract expired in March 2020. This office was particularly vulnerable and had been broken into a number of times. I can count no less than six incidents.”

The office had been broken into previously on several dates: 2011-12-27, 2014-06-08, 2018-12-09, 2020-01-20. The office had an alarm monitored by National Security & Fire but this service was discontinued due to non-payment and currently alarm activates only after hours and on weekends.

“The office was previously broken into on the following dates ... This office is fitted with an alarm that was monitored by National Security & Fire. During April 020, ... they have removed us from their system and would not be rendering any services ... Currently, the alarm is activated after hours and on weekends.”

Applications for continued contract with National Security & Fire were made multiple times in 2020 but no approvals or feedback were received.

“An application is hereby made for the current contract with National Security & Fire to be continued on a month - to - month basis while the procurement process is being done .”
