Presidency sent a stern warning to Police Chiefs including National Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Fannie Masemola and Crime Intelligence Head Lieutenant General Dumisane Khumalo for corruption, fraud, and theft of crime intelligence funds.

“Presidency sends out stern warning to Police Chiefs, National Police Commissioner, and Crime Intelligence Head. President Ramaphosa and GNU parties asked the ID and the Independent Investigative Director to probe the National police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Fannie Masemola and Lieutenant General Dumisane Khumalo of corruption, fraud, and the theft of crime intelligence funds.”

Lt-Gen Shibiri expressed concerns that naming the cartel publicly puts his life in danger and that he is currently provided bodyguards for protection.

“I thought it was reckless from crime intelligence head ... to come here and say Shibiri he gave us the name of the cartel ... And you are having bodyguards 24 hours because you do not want to be harmed by the same cartel.”
