A case was opened as per Booysen on 9 August 2021 and investigated by DPCI member Captain Sebula, now Lieutenant Colonel.
“They opened a case as per Booysen 9/8/2021, and it was investigated by DPCI, a member, Captain Sebula, I believe now he is a Lieutenant Colonel”
Colonel Maluleke contacted General Kadwa, and they suspected that the bags in a black Nissan bakkie contained drugs but could not take over the scene, so LT-COLSebola had to speak to Sergeant Ndou, the driver of the marked Booysen bakkie.
“Colonel Maluleke contacted General Kadwa, and they are suspecting bags in the black Nissan bakkie are drugs. They could not take over the scene, and therefore I must talk to driver of the marked Booysen bakkie, to whom I introduced myself as Sergeant Ndou”
It is strange that no one present at the scene, including the involved sergeants, mentioned any attempt by the Magaane's vehicle to leave with the drugs despite the Booysen vehicle driving in at that time.
“particular when the Booysens vehicle drives in, none of them, including the Sergeants involved, mention the Magane's attempt to leave with the drugs .”
Warrant Officer Magane states he was present at the scene and had no intention to leave while his vehicle was loaded.
“while your black bakkie was loaded, you were nowhere in position or of intention to leave the premises. That is correct... I am the one who was at the scene... I still maintain that if we had intention to leave, we would have left even before the Booysen's arrived, because they came 30 minutes later.”
