Major General Senon

General Flynn confirms that Major General Senon performed an investigation to establish if misconduct was committed in handling and storage of exhibits, in terms of SAPS Disciplinary Regulation 2016, and provided the outcome of the departmental investigation.

“That the National Head appoint a senior functionary at the level of a Major General to lead an investigation in terms of SAPS Disciplinary Regulations 2016 to establish whether misconduct was committed in the handling and storage of the exhibits... That the senior functionary provides the outcome of the departmental investigation in terms of Regulation 8(1) of the SAPS Disciplinary Regulation 2016”

No disciplinary steps were initiated against Major General Senon or any of his subordinates.

The information note details that General Mosikili travelled to KwaZulu-Natal and met with Provincial Head Major General Senon, who submitted a report regarding the incident summarizing the seizure of the drugs in June 2021.

General Senon was reported as present when the drugs were stored, based on sources from the case docket and witness statements of police officers present.
