Warrant Officer Sandertel was moved to Supply Chain under investigation without being told when the investigation ended.
“he then gets placed in, I think, Supply Chain or another place, where he is placed and nothing is said to him . He remains there until he is moved elsewhere and he only finds out that this investigation or supposed investigation was closed, I think, four months or four weeks later”
Colonel Jacob was not aware that the investigation on Warrant Officer Sandertel was finalized within four days or months.
“Commissioner , I was not aware the investigation was finalized within four days or four months or whatever he says”
Colonel Jacob proposed that the investigation on Warrant Officer Sandertel is over and that there was no reason to keep him at Supply Chain Management, so he returned to the unit.
“I am the one who proposed now it is over , there is no reason to keep him at Supply Chain Management and that is when he came back to the unit”
Warrant Officer Sandertel did not receive direct formal information about the clearing of allegations or shutdown of the investigation, only hearsay.
“I never received anything in writing except for this . I never received the allegations that were being investigated against me . I was told in a room that there is an email that came in , never given , never shown that email in the room in which you were . I never received anything, any report and it was, it went quiet until eventually I asked and that is how I found out that I have been cleared”
Colonel Jacob states that he believes it was appropriate to inform Warrant Officer Sandertel about the investigation being over and cleared.
“I thought it was appropriate and I did so . That is how the member ended up back at the unit”
Warrant Officer Sandertel was part of Colonel Jacob's team in June 2021 when he could have been dispatched to a depot.
“In June 2021, was he part of your team? Yes, he was, Commissioner .... So you could have dispatched him to the depot on the day? Yes, I could have”
Colonel Jacob agrees Warrant Officer Sandertel was involved in a 999 kilogram drug bust in July 2021.
“because a month later in July, he was involved in the 999 kilogram bust ... Yes, Commissioner, you are correct”
