The DPCI investigators never sat down with Brigadier Nyuswa, only came with questions after he gave his statement.
“The only time they would come, like, I gave the statement, and then they came with a set of questions”
The DPCI investigators were the only ones who interviewed Brigadier Nyuswa as part of the investigation; the General Detective investigators did not interview him before the docket was taken away from them.
“No, no . Maybe they were still coming, but the docket was taken away from them”
Brigadier Nyuswa was surprised by the scene at the crime and had observations that may have suggested it was staged, but he did not articulate suspicions beyond what the landlord told him.
“I was surprised to see what I saw... I was shocked”
