Warrant Officer Mpangase admitted that although he made the false entry, it did not necessarily mean the investigation was to be done on that particular day but would be done after he removed the exhibits, depending on the investigation officer.

“Yes, I entered that entry, but that does not necessarily mean that the investigation was going to be done on that particular day. It would have been done after I have removed them. That was going to be entirely dependent on the IO, the investigation officer.”

Lt-Col Prinsloo states crime scene reports do not come to the LCRC office but only to the investigating officer.

“So the short answer is those reports do not come to you, the LCRC report. They go to the investigating officer.”
