On the morning of 2 June 2022, the amount of cocaine referenced in statements varies between 7 to 8 kilograms and 27 kilograms.

“If you look at paragraph 3 of your statement , the last sentence you refer to 7 to 8 kilogrammes of Cocaine and Jacob and Sibiya and everyone that has come before the Commission referred to 27 kilogrammes ... Which one is correct , according to your recollection ?”

Lt-Col Sibiya asserts he was not aware of what was going on regarding the sampling and booking of the exhibits initially, which explains why he did not object to the procedure when it went wrong.

“you were none the wiser ... that is why you did not object to many of the things that went wrong ... No , I did not know”
