Internal union grievances and challenges concerning recruitment and promotion processes have caused re-advertisement of certain positions and lengthy disputes.

“We have got unions that are also sitting in those processes... if unions are here, they are putting grievances, we are going to CCMA... we were challenging in South African Local Bargaining Council, then we were able to win some... We were referred back by the Chairperson of those committees that go back and advertise and re-advertise those positions. Those processes are taking place.”
