Port Shepstone storage

The exhibit clerk at Isipingo SAPS said there was no space to keep the exhibits, leading Lieutenant Colonel Jacob to organize their transport to Port Shepstone for storage.

“The exhibit clerk asked me a strange question. He wanted to know where we were going to keep the exhibits...He told me that he had no space to keep the exhibits there...Lieutenant Colonel Jacob started making calls to look for a place to store the exhibits...After talking to Brigadier Nyuswa, Lieutenant Colonel Jacob told me that we must take the exhibits to Port Shepstone storage.”

The witness was not aware of any break-in or lack of proper security measures at the Port Shepstone storage.

“I do not know who broke into the Port Shepstone storage and I was not aware that there were no proper security measures in place.”

There is no explanation why the Port Shepstone storage facility, which is 100 km from Isipingo, was chosen for the cocaine storage.
