Traffic Officers

Traffic officers are empowered by Criminal Procedure Act 33 4, Act 51 of 1977 to fight crime as peace officers, which gives them power and authority.

EMP officers conducted drug busts outside their jurisdiction and not within the job description of Traffic Officers, which was found unlawful by IPID.
