Vusi Ndlala

LT-GENS HIBIRI knew Vusi Ndlala from that day and previously did not know him.

“I now know , I did not know by that day .”

Lt. General Shibiri denies knowing or having a relationship with Vusi Ndlala and says it is silly to assume Vusi was his source for information.

“I wrote the name, I wrote the cellphone, I will give it to you and then you can go and confirm your own way...But my source is not Vusi Ndlala. I indicated he was working with the police...But I am still maintaining that is silly...My source is not Vusi Ndlala.”

Lt. General Shibiri states he never told Vusi Ndlala about Tau’s bail and that they never discussed it.

“The issue of Vusi Ndlala, of me telling Vusi Makhubela about the bail, it is not true. It is not true. I never told Vusi and we never discussed that thing of them.”

Witness A is confused about the meaning and motives behind a meeting involving Lt. General Shibiri and others, and the presence of envelopes or money suggests suspicion.

“Witness A is confused about what the meeting meant. He is confused about your motives...He gets the invitation. He goes there...If he thinks that Vusi Ndlala is your source, it makes perfect sense that you are there.”

Lt. General Shibiri states he met Vusi Ndlala before in Crime Intelligence but does not want to be involved in revealing the details or testifying about it.

“He was working with the police and when I met him he was sourced somewhere at Crime Intelligence some other time back and I do not want to be involved in that and I do not want to testify about that because it is not...it is totally not okay to divulge such information. It is not allowed.”
