The application to hear Witness M totally in camera remains unopposed by media houses and is supported by the evidence leaders.

There are serious security and safety concerns for Witness M that justify hearing his evidence totally in camera and concealing his face and visual features to protect his identity.

An order will be made prohibiting the publication, broadcasting, dissemination, or placing in public domain of any image or visual material that may reveal or tend to reveal the identity of Witness M or the in-camera proceedings.

The Chairperson has read and is satisfied with the application to hear Witness M's evidence totally in camera and grants the order accordingly.

The Chairperson will grant the order and also list at the end the people allowed to be at the fully in camera hearing, following precedent from previous hearings by Mr Chaskalson.
