This contract was meant to run for 36 months and involved servicing and purchase orders with complaints noted during its course.

The list of 22 companies commenced the tender contract on 1 March 2022 and are still working under this contract, which was initially for a three-year period ending on 28 February 2025.
“So the list of 22 companies that was then awarded and commenced on the 1st of March 2022, and to date is still working under this contract... this tender which then commenced on the 1st of March 2022, as per the prescripts of the MFMA Act, three year period, then concluded on the 28th of February 2025 as a contract at that stage.”
The contract for the sale of the truck is dated 7 October 2025 with Sergeant Nkosi's brother's signature on it.

Sergeant Nkosi warned Mr Motsumi that Mr Matlala owed him money and that the contract was about to be terminated.
“Mr Matlala owed Mr Motsumi money, so I was warning him that, hey Baba, your money will never come back because he invested in Mr Matlala's company, so I was making him aware that this contract is about to be terminated.”
Sergeant Nkosi knew from Mr Motsumi before the contract was awarded that Mr Matlala owed money to Mr Motsumi.
“I think before the contract is awarded... Yes.”
