Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi

Mr Nku shared information about the possible shipment of arms and contraband including drugs with Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi, who was introduced to him by former Minister and Deputy Minister of Defence Maphatsoe and considered a compatriot in exile.

“I shared the information with Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi, whom I was initially introduced by former Minister, Deputy Minister of Defence Maphatsoe as he expressed that General Mfazi was his compatriot in exile”

Mr Nku shared information with Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi through an introduction by former Deputy Minister of Defence, Komisa Kebby Maphatsoe, but the information was intended for General Mfazi only, not for Lieutenant General Mfazi personally.

“I shared this information with Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi, whom I was initially introduced to by former Deputy Minister of Defence, Komisa Kebby Maphatsoe ... the information was not intended for him. Information was intended to General Mfazi.”

Mr Nku became aware of a potential arms and contraband shipment including drugs during the last week of April 2021 from confidential sources and shared this information with Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi in late June 2021.

“I first became aware of the potential shipment during the last week of April 021 through confidential sources. At that stage, the information was preliminary and indicated a possible shipment involving arms, contraband, including drugs. I shared this information with Lieutenant General Sindile Mfazi, whom I was initially introduced to by former Deputy Minister of Defence, Kebby Maphatsoe, as he expressed that Lieutenant General Mfazi was his compatriot in exile. Further details were received and shared in late June 2021.”
