When taking exhibits for analysis to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), one can just rock up without prior notice, but on this occasion, due to too many exhibits, the FSL said they could not fit them in the safe and they had to be stored at Durban Central police station vault instead.

“If I am bringing exhibits for analysis, I can rock up there... When I did rock up there, they said, sorry, there is way too much exhibits to fit in our safe. It will not fit... it was Brigadier Paramusa and Captain Mbansi that allowed the authorisation of using a part of their vault at Durban Central to store those exhibits.”
