Ethical hacking is defined as authorized hacking into ICT systems to test their security.

“When institutions, whether private or government or governmental, either set up their ICT systems, just check them routinely or even upgrade them, they will get an ICT expert. Maybe not necessarily the one that set it up, but one who will either hack into it or attempt to hack into it to establish if it is secure enough. So it is ethical in the sense that it is authorised by the person to whom the system belongs.”
