Charge Office

At Isipingo SAPS there was a shortage of forensic exhibit bags to properly store the drugs, leading to a request for exhibit bags from the charge office, which also did not have them.

“Warrant Officer Mpangase requested for the exhibit bag from Warrant Officer Perumal. However, Perumal indicated that he did not have any forensic bags. Warrant Officer Mpangase requested that I must go and request for the bags at the charge office. I went to request for the bags at the charge office. Members indicated that they do not have forensic bags.”

There was a discussion about exhibit bags between Warrant Officer Perumal and Warrant Officer Mpangase, leading to the request to the Charge Office for more bags because the bags in the car were insufficient.

“Warrant Officer Mpangase requested for the exhibit bags from Warrant Officer Perumal. However, he, that is Warrant Officer Perumal, indicated that he did not have any forensic bags. There was a discussion, hence I had to go to the Charge Office to request because I was the only one who knew, I think, less than five bags that I had in the car.”

Sergeants at the Charge Office told Warrant Officer Mpangase that there were no forensic bags available there.

“I found two Sergeants there. One of them was a Charge Office Commander. I requested for the bags, and then I was told they do not have bags.”
